What is Decentralized Production?

Rather than setting up a multi-million dollar production line overseas, MeshMart invests in 3D printing technology at small, distributed scale. We set up manufacturing nodes in metropolitan areas and manufacture on demand.

Do you 3D print all your products?

Yes. We support all types of 3D printing, with a range of materials.

Does MeshMart design and make their products in-house?

All products shown in our marketplace are owned by independent designers. MeshMart supports 3D designers by showcasing, manufacturing and shipping their products to you.

Who owns the original 3D model?

Designers retain full control of their catalogue. We work with them to make sure every new product can be 3D printed well, after which, we have no need for the original model.

What if a designer wants to remove a product?

They are free to do so.

Can't I just 3D print any of these designs myself?

Yes, you can. Designers are free to give away the original files, sell the them directly, or showcase them here exclusively. If you can make the products yourself, please do so. If you can't/don't want to/can't be bothered, then we'd be happy to do it for you.

How do you and the designers decide on a price?

At MeshMart, we believe a good product needs thoughtful design, and disciplined production. Designers decide on the price of their product after we communicate our manufacturing cost to them. All margins on top of our manufacturing costs go to the designers.
